Eric M. Gibson has experience in all aspects of IP protection – patent, trademark, and copyright law. Mr. Gibson has prepared patent infringement, clearance/freedom-to-operate, invalidity, landscape, and patentability opinions, drafted and prosecuted patent applications, and managed U.S. and foreign patent portfolios for clients. He has also drafted and negotiated a variety of IP-related agreements, including content licenses, website agreements, professional services and hardware procurement agreements.

As an Examiner, Mr. Gibson reviewed patent applications for vehicle control and navigation systems. In addition to seven years at the Patent Office and eight years with Plumsea, Mr. Gibson also has experience at Dow Lohnes PLLC and Edell, Shapiro & Finnan, LLC.

He is a registered patent attorney and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
